Week 2, Day 1

Costume! Or rather, fighting crime!
So after training for a bit, and figuring out what exactly I could do, it was time to go out and fight some crime. I'd say it's a good thing it was only a burglary, nobody got hurt (much), and the window was already broken. The cops came eventually, but I don't think they were able to hold the guy. Lessons were learned though! First, I needed a better outfit. Something that wouldn't snag on sharp corners, or trip me up at the worst possible moment, causing me to fly out a window into some bushes. I figured it'd have to be tight, which is kind of cliche, but it's better than a cape or something. And then a visor to keep the bugs from smacking me in the eyes. and to conceal my secret identity, just in case. The second lesson was that I really need some kind of weapon, because I do not enjoy bruised knuckles. I could have just used gloves, but I prefer how it ended up. Finally, I needed some rope, or handcuffs or something, cause I mean, what kind of superhero waits around with the criminal til the cops show up. I'm just glad the guy was so reasonable about it, at the time I didn't know how to knock somebody out. I guess he was kind of freaked out that I was about 50 times faster than normal.

Of course, I did manage to gather what I needed, it was easier than I thought for the most part, paid cash from a few different stores, ordered a couple of things online, to a borrowed address, and even managed to get some of those nifty wrist bindy thingies. Lighter and cheaper than handcuffs. I was pretty much prepared to run out and save the day. Which I did, with gusto. For a while at least. Then I met Widget, and things rather changed.
